Went to a ballgame last

June 22, 2001

Went to a ballgame last night with some friends. Had a good time and got to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while. When we got there it was hot…damn hot…Hades hot. After a while it cooled off, then the storms came in. I don’t know about you, but the idea of sitting in a giant aluminum lightening antenna when a beaucoup of thunder is in the distance doesn’t sound good. Niki and I split.

It’s been raining on and off for the past few days and I’m not use to this. I hate this. I’ve been so into my walking groove. This rain has been hindering it. Maybe my yard sale will still be on for Saturday…hopefully the rain won’t screw that up too.

On the Linux front. I tried, for the sake of testing, to install Progeny Debian again, since the motherboard has been refurbed and seems to work well. Progeny dies a horrible death, between CRC errors and Kernel panics nothing installed worth a crap. I’m going to fdisk the system, install a boot loader and install OS/2, RedHat 7.1, and possibly a debian system. I have a copy of Stormix Storm Linux Hail edition. It’s another Debian based distro that has received good reviews but Stormix went bankrupt this year. Why have I spent so much time on Progeny? Well, I hate to give up. I installed it on 4 systems total and wasn’t able to get a good install on all. I’m going to DL a new disk to see if that is the issue. Progeny has been reviewed really well and I don’t want to dis something until I make sure it wasn’t just a fluke.

Exciting day at work, By the Way.
