does it matter who writes on the wall?

October 1, 2001

I finished running my stats for September and it looks like I had over 22,000 people visit last month. I think a lot of that has to do with the images I gathered on the World Trade Center bombing. I have some screenshots and images available no where else. I also had some media coverage from a radio station and some messagesboards associated with them. All in all, September was a busy month.

I built a machine for a client this weekend. It’s a PIII 550 with 128mb of RAM and I’m amazed at how fast it is. I ran Command and Conquer effortlessly. The machine does have a problem, the hard drive is clicking. Sounds like one of the arms is clicking and is dying on me. I’m going to call and see if they can just ship me another hard drive instead of having to ship the whole machine back.

My digital camera died a few weeks ago and I finally got a chance to exchange it. I have some nice photos and hopefully soon I can add those to a future photo album. It’s not going to be hard to do, but finding the time right now is the problem.

Yes, it seems like I have about 80 hours of work to do this week. So, I’ve already decided to work late for as long as I need to. I have deadlines that are too important to screw up. So that also means that I’m possibly going to have problems. Murphy’s Law. So, if you call me at work expect to get my voicemail. If you call me at home, expect for me to be a few more days behind my already slow call return time.

My new machine still isn’t built. I finished working on the client’s system, then I tested a few games, and then I sat and did nothing. Niki and I cooked dinner for my Mom on Saturday…well Niki actually cooked a nice Spam Fried rice. We were watching a show on cooking in Hawaii and this was a recipe they had used. Spam, Pineapple, and Rice. I normally bake or fry Spam so to actually have Spam, that was actually tender as opposed to bacon-like, in a meal was interesting. I wish I had some more for my late Saturday/Sunday Morning work.
