doing something you love

April 19, 2003

I haven’t mentioned it here, but I’ve volunteered time to help out with marketing a production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, by our local arts high school, The Center for Creative Arts . I did a billboard{.liinternal} and asked media to run our radio ads, it was totally a “please donate”, type of event.

The event was last night at the Tivoli theater and I’m really surprised at how packed it was. And hopefully raised some dollars for the school’s programs. The amount they receive from the school-board….$150. Folks this was probably the best play/musical I’ve seen in a while and it was done by high school kids. It blew my socks off. It took a group of people to get beyond that $150 and put something truly great.
