shoveling

August 11, 2003

This weekend, I spent some time cleaning out my mother’s garage. Let me tell you…it was a mess. Most of the stuff is headed to a yard sale, some to trash and the other to wherever she winds up living. She purchased her house three years ago and it’s getting a little overwhelming for her, so she’s going to a smaller house or (hopefully) a small apartment.

I ditched tons of magazines I collected for years. Most of it was trashed when her evil cat lived out there. Nothing like a dirty, dusty, smelly garage and having to clean it on a hot August day. Gloves and masks made it even hotter.

I’m actually taking a sick-day today, as I guess I’m dehydrated and I screwed-up my medicine. So my 7:30 a.m, 9 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. meetings had to be canceled, sometime before 7 a.m. I hate being sick, completely hate it. It screws up my schedule and just generally puts me in a bad mood.
