I might be into a very specific process problem, finally getting insight, being close to the famous “a-ha!”, but no – THE FREAKING PHONE RINGS AND I HAVE TO ANSWER!!! Sometimes, it’s enough to render me useless for the rest of the day. But, I can’t go home, or out for a walk to freshen up. The rest of the day, I’m a zombie.”

Yep, this one is me. It took years, but I got my wife to stop calling me at work and just text or email. I’m an absolute asshole about this, but I got tired of getting the “hey what’s going on” call. Call me at lunch or call me on the way home, but unless it’s an emergency, don’t call. I’m at work, so I work and concentrate…phone calls ruin that.
