Talkin' 'bout a revolution

March 13, 2006

{‘V for Vendetta’ tries talkin’ about a revolution. } – “The film may spark interesting debates–about the nature of terrorism and governments, about the inalienable right of artists to shock and provoke–but what we’re dealing with is a lackluster comic-book movie that thinks terrorist is a synonym for revolutionary.”

But there is a (true) saying that, “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”. I’m looking at this movie, like I looked at another movie recently: It’s only a story. It’s not fact. It’s fiction. It’s entertainment, not a complete political statement.

Granted, lots of people will see this as a slander toward our current administration like they saw “Brokeback Mountain” as an endorsement of same-sex marriage or the “gay agenda”.
